SEBILE Innovative Fishing Wins Four Awards at 2010 Australian Fishing Tackle Association Trade Show

2010 has been incredibly successful for SEBILE Lures with a total of eight industry awards won at major trade shows in Australia, the United States and Europe

Gold Coast, Australia, August 17, 2010 — SEBILE has won an unprecedented four awards at AFTA, the Australian Fishing and Tackle Association's trade show held from August 14-16, 2010 on Australia's Gold Coast, including Best Hard Lure for its Koolie Minnow BRL (Big Round Lip), Best Soft Lure for its Magic Swimmer Soft, Best Terminal Tackle for the SEBILE Soft Weight System, and Best Medium Stand for its booth and casting size lure demonstration tank.
No company or brand has ever won awards in four categories at this show before.
Speaking from the Australian Fishing Tackle Trade Show floor upon accepting the four awards, company founder, CEO, lure designer and legendary angler Patrick Sebile said, "Ever since I was a little boy, I have always dreamed of having my own lure company. Yet never have I imagined winning so many awards or being so popular with the media, retailers and shopkeepers who voted for SEBILE in Australia and the outdoor writers, editors, wholesale buyers and retailers who voted for us at EFTTEX and ICAST. The winning products are detailed as follows:-
Best Hard Lure ~ Koolie Minnow BRL Big Round Lip

When it comes to our beloved barramundi, if an Australian fisho wanted to try just one SEBILE lure, you could not go past the Koolie Minnow BRL (Big Round Lip). This is obviously why all the independent retail buyers, who judged the awards, voted it best hard lure at the show. It also happens that on the first test trip in Australia, the Koolie minnow caught 2 wild barra over 110cm in its first outing – impressive results indeed. At the AFTA show, SEBILE had a casting tank set up where all SEBILE lure actions could be demonstrated to tackle shop buyers in attendance. Almost every tackle shop proprietor who saw the Koolie Minnow BRL said basically the same thing - that the BRL has an amazing action and will be a deadly barra lure. The retail buyers were obviously convinced enough about this to vote it as best new Hard Lure at the show.
The Koolie Minnow BRL is available in 118 mm and 145 mm sizes for most situations, but don't overlook the larger 190 mm BRL for the trophy size barramundi that haunt some of the impoundments. Its unique action is something you'll want to experience for yourself. The lure has a massive wide roll when wound slowly, but when twitched, the lure comes alive and darts sideways and often upwards. There are so many ways to work this lure and whether a fast or slow retrieve the action will amaze you. If there is one SEBILE lure you should try first for barramundi, this is the one that most excited Australian tackle shop buyers at AFTA.
Best Soft Lure ~ Magic Swimmer Soft

When it comes to soft lures for barramundi, bass, flathead, snapper and many other popular Aussie species it's usually a jig head with an exposed hook point, dressed with an attractive soft stickbait or swimbait that's favoured. The Magic Swimmer Soft is a little different. The unique swimming action on this plastic is so life like; you’ll need to see it believe just how good it is. It comes with a snag-free rigging method included, which is the SEBILE Soft Weight System (winner on its own merit of AFTA's Best Terminal Tackle award). The Magic Swimmer Soft used with the Soft Weight System provides a uniqueness that jigheads just don't have. Indeed, the Soft Weight System has won the best terminal tackle award at all three of the world's major international trade shows in Australia, Europe and North America, demonstrating that this system is a truly unique and groundbreaking system for fishing any soft plastic.
